Covington - Lamont Orahood, 76 of Covington, a retired farmer died at 12:45 p.m. Monday in Community Hospital at Williamsport. He had been ill for one year. Mr. Orahood was a life resident of Wabash Township before moving to Covington in July 1971. He was a member of First Church of Christ here and farmed all his life. Born Nov 4, 1898, in Wabash Township, Fountain County he was the son of Pearlie Lee and Phoebe Richardson Orahood. He was married to Margaret M. Skinner April 5, 1942. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Rosemary) Kirby of West Lebanon; a grandson, Danny Turner of West Lebanon; and two sisters, Mrs. Doris Nash of Williford, Ark and Mrs. Rachael Summers of Veedersburg. A brother and three sisters are deceased. Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. James Daniels officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.   Lamont Orahood, Covington, died 12:15 p.m. Monday at Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been seriously ill the past year.
  He was born Feb. 4, 1898, in Wabash Township, the son of Pearlie Lee and Phoebe Richardson Orahood. He was married April 5, 1942, to Margaret M. Skinner who survives.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Rosemary) Kirby, West Lebanon; one grandson, Danny Turner; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Nash, Williford, Ark.; Mrs. Rachel Summers, Veedersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
  Mr. Orahood was a life resident of Wabash Township until moving to Covington in July, 1971. He was a farmer all his life and a member of First Church of Christ.
  Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home at Covington, with Rev. James Daniels officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. =s
